“Spencer started life in Hawaii where his father was stationed at Pearl Harbor. British private school soon followed, then high school in Massachusetts. He attended the University of Miami, UCLA and USC studying Creative Writing, Philosophy and Theater.
10 years was spent in Los Angeles as an award-winning commercial director before starting Island Company.
Island Company was the top resort-wear lifestyle brand in the tropics. With 10 world-wide retail stores and over 1500 lifetime wholesale accounts, it sold more 5-star resorts than any other brand. Island Company had full men’s and women’s clothing lines, eyewear, suncare, footwear and accessories. Spencer was Island Company’s designer, photographer, interior designer and Creative Director.
Island Company Rum was conceived and launched in 2015 and won every award entered around the globe.
Spencer is also a seaplane pilot, a PADI Master Suba Diver Trainer and 3-gun Weapon Instructor. He resides in West Palm Beach, Florida.”
